We’ve been passionate about sailing for as long as we can remember. We discovered the British Virgin Islands 12 years ago and instantly fell in love with the crystal clear waters, the favorable winds and the postcard-perfect scenery. Having owned and even chartered sailing yacht in the past for family vacations, we quickly realized how interested friends and family were in this type of holiday. So we asked ourselves “why not start our own yacht charter company in our little corner of paradise, the BVI?”

We founded Vacances Sous Voiles in 2004, and purchased our first sailing yacht, a magnificent 50-foot Bénéteau, which we named Bleu Turquoise.

Michèle ran the company by herself in Year One. We had an encouraging year, so we decided to sell everything and leave everything behind to embark on this great adventure fulltime. Every day since has been a reaffirmation that we made the right choice. We are preparing to begin our fourth season and are proud of our growing fleet of relentlessly maintained and finely equipped sailing yachts. Most importantly, we are thrilled about the excitement Vacances Sous Voiles is generating among vacationers. The allure of sailing trips is really catching on, along with the personal touch and attention to every minute detail that help make these truly dream vacations.

Vacances Sous Voiles charter guests may come from different corners of the world, like Quebec, Ontario, the U.S. and Europe, but they all return home sharing the same thing: unforgettable memories. Many return the following year, and that for us, is the best reward of all.
